INS AND OUTS FOR 2025

2024 is complete, but we are still in the middle of Winter. The true energetic renewal of the New Year begins in Spring. It would actually be inhumane to do something like start the '75 hard challenge' during this time. It's good to set goals but make them realistic, we are meant to rest, reflect, and restore during Winter. 

I was doing some reflecting on the Year of the 8 (2+0+2+4) and it was anything but easy. Given the number 8 holds the energy of karma, truth, self-acceptance, growth, and alignment... FOR ME... 2024 gave exactly that. Based on my experiences during 2024 

Here are my INS and OUTS for 2025

INS

  • Regulating the nervous system 
  • De-shaming 
  • Embarrassment - I'm only doing embarrassing a$$ $hi in 2025
  • Vedic Astrology - ummm cut throat as fuck lol, I'm intrigued to learn more. Astrology in general though tbh like learn about your birth chart fr. 
  • Building self trust - we don't realize we break trust daily by not following through with the intentions we set. I actually recommend setting intentions for the day every morning based on how you feel that day - we're not always meant to attack a long to-do list, sometimes we may need to slow down - especially in the Winter.
  • Radical self-acceptance
  • Spirituality and believing in the magic of the universe 
  • Acting on daily synchronicities 
  • Reading the Celestine Prophecy 
  • Doing anything and everything you have the urge to try- we can be more than just one thing, and we can decide to change our minds about something whenever we want.

OUTS: 

  • Forced alignment
  • Being "shy" - you're just scared to be seen.
  • People pleasing
  • Having FOMO 
  • Fashion trends- dress to express YOU
  • Perfectionism - this is actually a trait caused by suppressed anger and perfectionism only leads to shame and disappointment.
  • The toxic 'positive mindset movement' - mindset is important but your "positive mindset" won't change your actions long-term if your nervous system isn't regulated. You will feel inspired for some time then fall back into your old habits which again, leads to shame and forcing action leads to burn out. Work with your body before you work with your mind. 
  • Playing the victim 
  • Making decisions out of fear or lack

I also want to acknowledge my lack of presence on Slate. I have been doing a lot of internal work so I am able to show up better and more authentically here. Bare with me, 2024 has been a year of discovery, transformation, learning&unlearning. Love you all.
